Travel Grant
The OMSSS Travel Grant is a financial support initiative designed to assist members and affiliated researchers in attending significant conferences, particularly those who represent OMSSS or are involved in OMSSS projects. The grant is awarded on a reimbursement basis and is intended to ease the financial burden associated with travel for academic and professional development.

Applicants must meet several conditions to qualify for the grant. Firstly, they must provide proof of official acceptance from the conference organiser, along with a copy of the abstract they submitted. Additionally, applicants are required to declare that they are not receiving any other travel grants from external sources, ensuring that the OMSSS grant is the primary source of travel funding.

Grant recipients are also required to contribute back to the OMSSS community by presenting their research at the next OMSSS Journal Club meeting, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration within the society. Furthermore, to ensure fair distribution of resources, an awardee is not eligible to apply for the grant in the subsequent year.

These conditions are in place to ensure that the OMSSS Travel Grant is used effectively and benefits the broader community by supporting high-quality research and professional engagement.
